In all my Glory

Here it is. The baby bump. **ahem. I mean...the baby boulder** I realized today that when I was pregnant with Ivy I took a profile picture like every month. This is my only one with Adelynn.

Kara: "Robbie, would you take a quick picture?" Robbie: "oh yeah, you haven't taken any pictures with this baby yet." Kara: "I know, I feel like a horrible mother." (Robbie takes picture) Robbie: "There. Now go enjoy some Addie time." (as he motions to the couch) Ivy: (starts screaming to let me know she needs some lunch)

Poor Addie. I guess you'll get your turn soon enough. ;)

5 more days!!! P.S. The doctor said I was dialated to a 2, that I would probably go full term, and she was a predicting another 8 lb. baby. Sweet.

Growing up too fast

Ivy is getting too big!! I may or may not have cried more than once thinking about the fact that Ivy won't be the baby anymore in a few days. I don't think I'm ready for her to be the big sister. I just know that I'll be holding Adelynn, and they will bring in Ivy and she will suddenly look SOOOO big! I don't want her to be SOOOO big yet!!! Lately Ivy is accessorizing herself with things like sunglesses, will flash us a cheesy grin when we get out the camera, LOOOOOVES Elmo, will "rock-a-bye" anything as long as it is wrapped up in her blankie like a baby, and has discovered our drinking fountain. WHAT?!?!? When did you get so big Ivy?!?!?! I don't care how many kids we have...Ivy, I will always call you "Baby Girl". I love you!

Vacationing in Virginia

Wow! What a fun summer we were able to have! We took a vacation back in July to visit Robbie's sister Geri and her family. (what a stinkin' sweet family BTW!) We loved every minute of it. We miss them already, and can't wait to see them again. Here are some things we loved about our trip:

-Ivy CAN sleep somewhere other than her bed if she chooses to

-Danae would paint all day long if we let her

-When Ivy and Aliya are best friends when they are older, they will look back on this vacation and laugh

-I do know Robbie better than Geri knows Jacob despite what the score board says :)

-Neighbors Grill = YUM!

-Geri makes me look like a crafter-wanna-be

-It's really easy to spot Robbie and Jacob in the ocean...Look for the white backs

-I'm fairly certain I could spend all day in the Smithsonians

-Naomi will forever make me smile when she says "just kidding"

-Danae and Naomi are the quietest children I have ever been around

-Visiting Geri and Jacob is like going to your own bed n breakfast

-Sonic is indeed worth the drive for ice in eastern humidity

-Robbie's favorite: "Uncle Robbie, can we watch you play XBOX?"

-The discovery of Dove body wash

-Best. Vacation. Ever.
