I am so proud of myself! This is my first rag tie quilt - and my first sewing project! I learned a lot, and there are a lot of things I will do a little differently next time. But this is the baby blanket I made for Ivy. I made it all by myself! (that's why I'm so proud) I used extra layers of flannel for the middle instead of batting making it very soft and cuddly - can't wait to try it out! I can see now why people say that they are not that hard to make. Now that I kind of know what I'm doing, I think it will go faster next time.

Tagged by Trinity!
Okay Trinity, I finally got around to the tag. Really, who doesn't want to brag about their husbands? :) This is my favorite picture of Robbie:
What is his name? Robin Dean walker. But he usually goes by Robbie. He's become a lot more comfortable with his first name and says it proudly now when in business situations. :) (But he would still never in a million years let us name our son that.)
How long have we been together? I have a feeling some of these questions could get complicated. But let's make this easy. Pre-mission we were together for about a year and a half. Post mission we were together for 3 months and now have been married for almost 3 years.
How long did we date? Another complicated answer. But I think I answered it indirectly in the last question.
How old is he? 24
Who eats more? No contest - totally Robbie. If we eat with ANYBODY, he will without fail get some comment about how much he eats. Everyone is surprised because of his build, but he can eat as much as the next 300 pound guy. The most common comment is, "I don't know how you afford to feed him." :) Poor Robbie. It must be so hard to never get full.
Who said "I love you" first? Robbie did. The sad and honest truth is that neither of us can remember exactly how it happened because it was back in high school. But we remember that it happened...and we remember when I said I love you back because it was later on. BUT -- he said it first again when he got home from his mission.
Who is taller? He is. He's 6 feet - making us the perfect kissing height. :)
Who can sing better? I think Robbie has an extremely sexy bass voice. But he doesn't believe me.
Who is smarter? Lately? Robbie. I can't seem to remember anything and I feel like I'm getting more blond by the day. But I think it's totally fair to point out that I'm the one that got us through economics in high school!
Who does the laundry? I do. Every Monday. But Robbie does a good job putting his clothes in the right hampers. Does that count?
Who pays the bills? I do. On the first Friday of the month. But after I budget and shuffle the money around, I say, "How does this look?" And then we'll talk together about where the money is going. Or if we have money that isn't designated to go anywhere (which is happening less and less these days) then we both decide what will happen to it.
Who sleeps on the right side? After reading every one's posts - I'm realizing that there is actually a "side" of the bed that people sleep on every night. See, I wouldn't know that because that all depends. For us it changes every night. We haven't really had a reason to get into a system yet...but as soon as the baby comes, I'm sure I'll be sleeping on the left side because it will be closer to the baby.
Who mows the lawn? Robbie does. Unless I get really impatient - or I want to surprise him. But that's definitely a Robbie job.
Who cooks dinner? I do. And he's so complimentary of my cooking that I don't mind it!
Who drives? Robbie usually does. Except I get car sick really easily and it's not so bad when I'm driving - so he usually asks me if I need to drive when we're going somewhere depending on how I feel. But when I drive it's definitely out of necessity and not preference. Whichever seat I end up in though - he still opens my door. :)
Who is more stubborn? *sigh* Me. Me. Me. Sorry Baby.
Who kissed who first? Ooh! Robbie did! And we remember this one! Again, it was him both in high school and post-mission. In high school I was dropping him off after a date which was an absolute BLAST, and we were parked in front of his house talking. We honestly were just having an extremely personal conversation about his parents divorce and my parents divorce and I remember thinking what an incredibly good listener he was. I had no idea that his kissing was a thousand times better! After we realized we went three hours past our curfew, he pulled me close for a good night hug and he didn't let go for a long time, and before I knew it we were kissing. And post-mission, he had been home 24 hours when he kissed me...and the rest is history.
Who asked who out first? Robbie. I played really hard to get with most of the boys. But with Robbie and I it always seemed pretty mutual that the question was not "will" you go out with me, but "when" are we going to go out?
Who proposed? Robbie. He had been home from his mission for 10 days. (He was going to propose 5 days earlier, but he discovered through my sister that I didn't like the ring he had picked out, so he had to wait 5 more days for the one I liked) He had been telling me all week that he wanted to take me on a picnic, so he picked me up and we got some food to go, and drove FOREVER. I seriously wasn't expecting anything because Robbie had promised Lauryl that she could be there when he proposed and she was definitely not there, so I just though it was a sweet date. The drive was beautiful and the weather was perfect. We drove to a place called jump creek, and I had never been there. He led me though a trail where you had to duck though trees and climb big rocks and cross little streams and it was a lot of fun. Then all of sudden we rounded this corner and there was a big beautiful waterfall in front of us pouring into this beautiful lake. We rounded another corner and on top of a rock overlooking the lake and waterfall was a tablecloth with flowers and a picnic set up with music playing and everything. We enjoyed a wonderful meal, and then we went over to the edge of the rock to look a the waterfall and he got down on one knee and proposed! As soon as I said yes I see this really bright flash from the hillside, and Lauryl comes running out from the bushes. She was there the whole time! It was a riot. And it couldn't have been more perfect.
Who has more friends? Seeing as we went to high school together, we have a lot of the same friends. But he seems to make them much more easily than I do. Especially lately. I've been going through this weird reclusive, introvert phase. I don't know what's going on.
Who is more sensitive? Between the two of us...me. But between Robbie and most guys...Robbie. But not in an annoying girly way. It's the perfect amount because he sincerely cares about everyone. It's very sweet.
Who has more siblings? Counting step siblings or no? :) NOT counting step siblings, I do. I have 6 kids in my family and he has 4. Step siblings and half-siblings included, Robbie has 12.
Who wears the pants? We must wear a size like 65 because we definitely each where a leg. :)
I tag Misite. Just because she hasn't posted in a while! :) Thanks Trinity - that was fun.

Sometimes creative...
This is a project I just finished. It's a magnet board that I was actually supposed to have done for Robbie for Chirstmas, but 45 days later isn't that bad right? It makes a way better Valentine's Day present anyway. :) It was really fun and easy to make! You'll have to look at it up close to fully appreciate the theme. My sister and I made them together -- she should be posting hers soon. It turned out really cute. Anyway, I have a lot more projects waiting for me, so I'm sure you'll see some more soon!
Snowmen are SO last year!
Our neighbors were being creative with their snow this week! I feel like I'm in McCall looking at all the different ice sculptures. :) Sure beats the drive! Anyway, I though they were cute enough to share. In case you can't tell, the first on is a heart for Valentine's Day, and the second one is a dolphin for...fun?
