I need your help!!

Friends! I dare not be arrogant enough to pretend I know everything...so I need some ideas! Robbie and I are starting to make Ivy more a part of our FHE's, but I don't have very many ideas on how to do that. What do you do, or what have you done to include your baby/toddler in your FHE lessons? What were your topics? What were your activities? Do you have any good lessons? So far we've done felt board pictures, gospel art pictures, and a Living Scripture DVD. I don't know if she is still too young, but I want to start now so she will be used to those type of lessons. Anyway, I would really appreciate some ideas! Thank you!!!!

WOW! You guys are better then we were. We didn't really start FHE where it included the kids until Denae was talking. But just thinking about it.... you could try simple service projects where she can help pick up a couple things, or make cookies and give someone. It might be kind of fun to make some simple little puppets that you could use to keep her attention. I don't know, there is my 2 bits. Let me know if you come across a great idea, we will use it too.

Hi Kara, I am joi cooper, you may not even remember me. Your Mom and I shared kids blogs..How absolutely fun this was. What a beautiful little IVY you have:) I did just love the picture of your mom kissing her it brought tears to my eyes. Your blog is beautiful. I could not leave a note on Misty's blog but tell her I enjoyed her blue eyed children, and I am sending her "Good Luck". Thanks for the visit enjoyed it so much. love, joi

I just purchased the nursery manual to use for FHE it's called Behold your Little ones and I think it was only 5 bucks on the church website. Love all of the new pics!

Hi Kara. I love all the cute pictures!

I was trying to remember some of the FHE ideas we did when our kids were babies. I think one of our favorites was when I made puppets of all the characters in the scriptures. Steve then made a little puppet theatre and we acted out different scripture stories. Thats how my kids really became familuar with the people in the scritures. Even to this day, often times on a Sunday afternoon, they enjoy getting them out and playing themselves.

I also still have several of the "file foler" toddler books. They are great for FHE or during chruch. You are more then welcome to borrow them and make your own copies of as many as you want. :)

I teach the sumbeams and it's fun. Today we learned "I am grateful for animals" We went on a safari and to the farm to learn about how God created animals. But anyway, ya, get the sunbeam or nursery manual. It's got great ideas and if you go to sugardoodle.net, they also have great ideas and cutouts.
